After receiving the highly prestigious award of three Michelin Keys, La Mamounia has been crowned the number one hotel in Morocco and North Africa by the readers of Condé Nast Traveler.
This autumn, La Mamounia has been honoured with a series of distinguished accolades: three Michelin Keys - the guide's highest distinction - swiftly followed by first places in the 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, awarded by both the American and British editions of Condé Nast Traveler magazine.
Following the 2024 decoupling of Condé Nast Traveler into independent US and UK editions, the publication now delivers distinct global rankings. However, this year La Mamounia has once again triumphed on both sides of the Atlantic, claiming the No.1 position in Morocco and North Africa, with the American edition further honouring the palace as the 14th best hotel in the world. Awarded by the world’s most demanding travellers, these accolades arrive hot on the heels of La Mamounia receiving Three Michelin Keys. Created in 2024 to evaluate hotels with the same precision as the guide's legendary culinary stars, the Michelin hotel selection relies entirely on anonymous experts. Its ultimate accolade - three keys - denotes an "extraordinary stay”, a distinction shared by only an elite few of the world's most exceptional establishments.
Also recognised in 2026 by the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards as the Best City Hotel in North Africa and the Middle East and by the US luxury lifestyle magazine Robb Report and having been named a Condé Nast Traveler Triple Crown winner*, La Mamounia continues to demonstrate the unwavering commitment of its teams to remain at the pinnacle of global luxury.
These latest accolades are part of a legacy of excellence and international prestige. Yet, they find their truest resonance in an essential indicator that is perhaps our greatest reward - the unwavering loyalty of our guests. It is for them that, day after day, we cultivate our unique art of hospitality, passed down through the generations, yet continuously reinvented.
