Le Marocain restaurant Traditional Moroccan Cuisine in Marrakesh La Mamounia

Magnificent Riad deep in the hotel Gardens

Welcome to this magnificent Riad deep in the hotel Gardens, with its three floors showcasing the splendours of Arabo-Andalusian architecture. An exceptional setting in which to savour Moroccan specialities prepared with true passion by Chef Rachid Agouray.

If the Marocain has earned its place as an institution in Marrakech for over thirty years, and this is no coincidence; it's a result of the exquisite synergy between the venue and its culinary offerings.

Le Marocain

As soon as you arrive, you will be transported into the splendours of a magnificent palace, where alcoves welcome you like tiny jewel cases lined with soft cushions.

Your dining experience will be a true voyage of initiation, beginning with the ritual of ftour - a harira soup served with dates, chbakias, honey and sesame pastries - a combination as surprising as it is delicious.

The great cuisine of the Ocher City

The menu celebrates the soul of Moroccan gastronomy in all its refinement. Blending heritage with contemporary inspiration, Chef Rachid Agouray crafts an experience where every dish tells a story of flavor, fragrance, and artistry.

Among his signature creations, the Lobster pastilla with spinach fondue embodies the perfect harmony between tradition and modernity, while the Langoustine tagine reveals the richness of the sea enhanced by Morocco’s finest spices.

To conclude, the Citrus with fresh mint granita offers a refreshing touch of lightness. For a timeless finish, indulge in La Mamounia’s gazelle horn pastry or an assortment of traditional Moroccan sweets delicately scented with orange blossom.

An exceptional setting for an unforgettable evening

All of this combines to create a setting of unparalleled refinement.

If La Mamounia is a sublime tribute to Arabo-Andalusian architecture, the Marocain is perhaps its very quintessence. From the private lounges and alcoves to the central patio, the first thing you notice is the venue itself with its intricate woodwork, zellige tiling and plasterwork adorned with arabesques and chiselled motifs... All of this combines to create a setting of unparalleled refinement.

Accompanying the meal is a trio of musicians playing traditional tunes on the violin and lute. And let us not forget the ever-attentive and smiling welcome which, in its attention to detail, is a constant reminder of that wonderful sense of Moroccan hospitality.
