The Doorman, the very essence of La Mamounia in a delightful figurine
To mark its Centenary, La Mamounia wanted to shine a spotlight on the exceptional commitment of one of its most emblematic employees: the Doorman.
A figure who epitomises the warm welcome and friendly feel you experience as soon as you cross the threshold of our establishment. BAWAB, which means porter in Moroccan Arabic, embodies the heart and soul of La Mamounia throughout its 100 years of history. This mascot reflects the tradition of the art of entertaining, so very dear to La Mamounia.

A visual and olfactory mascot
Over the years, the doormen of our hotel have become true legends, embodying the very essence of La Mamounia and its Moroccan tradition of hospitality and service.
We therefore wanted to pay tribute to the Bawab with a figurine, that would serve as both a visual and olfactory mascot, containing a concentrate of our signature cedar and date scent. From 6 October, Bawab is exclusively available in our Mamounia Boutique.

We recommend

True to his taste for innovation and subtle reinterpretation, Pierre Hermé reinvents the traditional codes of Easter. Here, the egg gives way to a universe inspired by play, strategy and challenge. Chess pieces, puzzles and targets are transformed into gourmet sculptures, crafted with absolute mastery of textures and aromatic balance.
Dark chocolate with intense notes, milk chocolate with smooth, rounded flavors, and delicately caramelized blond chocolate are elevated into true, ephemeral works of art.
